    Look guys, these balls can be harmful, but most likely cause of an irresponsible owner. If there’s ventilation but the feet wont get caught, they are supervised and not in it for too long so they can take a break, I think it is better for a hamster in some cases and here’s why: some hamsters like to take off, then end up under the fridge or worse. My friend’s hamster crawled under a kitchen cabinet and was never seen again. Free range in a ball is better than being in a cage their whole life.

    hahaha that was funny

    @crzytwilightlvr I just can repeat, that hamsterballs are –>forbidden<– in germany, experts proof that its animal-torture. There is nothing more to say!

  7. crzytwilightlvr

    @bordeauxx My hamster also never poops or pees in her ball. She also will sit in her ball, and groom herself.

    @bordeauxx Obviously you will NOT let a hamster ram into a wall, unless you were making an attempt to kill the poor thing. If you are doing so, then you’re NOT using it correctly. But most of us do use it correctly, so it’s not a big deal. They can sense things around them, there are air strips for ventilation, and they have a good sense of smelling and hearing.

    @xxChecker102xx Hey there, I work with animals since 20 years, I’m a vet…so just believe me when I say that this kind of exercise is not what the hamster needs. Simply let it run free, without such a ball. No offense though…

    @drmarconi green day or metallica

    @crzytwilightlvr search in google for “diebrain joggingball” and use google translator or whatever…. i cant post links but its proofed, that its rubbish for animals…
    I trust the association of pet doctors and the organisation of animal protection, you should do that also, its just not known in usa until now or they dont care maybe…..
    In germany balls are forbidden in ยง2 TSchG (animal protection law) and they dont forbid something without a reason (!!).
    Proof enough?

    @bordeauxx 2/3 I would take him/her out of his cage and let them run about. But if your hamster is new, I would definitely use the ball for exercise. I don’t pick up my hamster and let her get plopped in. I just put the hamster ball, opened in or near the cage, let her crawl in, and pop on the lid and watch her roll. It’s pretty much just like your hamster running around, only with a protective shield.

    @bordeauxx I actually HAVE a hamster. Not trying to sound rude or get into a fight. 1/2But they can breathe, the balls are well ventilated, but not with such large holes that their feet will slip through. If a hamster is showing signs of maybe fatigue, or trying to get out such as scratching the plastic I would definitely take my hamster out! But having them in a ball is a great way to run around without getting worried that they’ll get lost amongst the furniture. Once you can trust them better,

    @crzytwilightlvr i think its time for you to make some research…
    YES hamsters run a lot, but they can run through the flat without (!) a ball.
    In the ball they get panic, they cant breath really good and while they search for the exit it looks like they have fun, but they dont have…

  15. crzytwilightlvr

    @fatshit436 lol, oh, okay! They’re uber cute. (: You could try getting a different small pet? Like a gerbil, rat, mouse, chinchilla, rabbit, guinea pig, etc.

  16. crzytwilightlvr

    @bordeauxx I think you should do your research BEFORE you judge. (: I let my hamster out everyday in one of those. They are specially made for hamsters, and this way they can get some exercise outside of their cage everyday, in fact they HAVE TOO. Hamsters can run up to FIVE miles a day. A wheel is not enough. They have to be able to go outside of their cage.

  17. crzytwilightlvr

    @MrBigBalrog Actually, it’s a great way for hamsters to get exercise out of their cage. They should get daily exercise out of their cage. Please don’t judge before doing your research. These balls are specially made just for hamsters, with ventilation strips. Relax. I let my hamster out in one of these EVERYDAY.

    @crzytwilightlvr im not really sure haha

  19. crzytwilightlvr

    @fatshit436 Is it because the climate is so similar to their natural climate that they might eat the crops, etc? Just guessing since it’s the same in Hawaii, USA.

    @Shamus8b8

    What would you suggest?

  21. xxChecker102xx

    @MrBigBalrog it’s an exercise ball… hamsters like to explore new things. the ball is just a way to do that without loosing the hamster! what part of that is animal cruelty??

  22. TheSoul562

    thats so cool

  23. AznPwn9449

    You people are such idiots.How is a ball animal cruelty to them?Its simply a exersize ball JUST like a wheel exept you can move around.Oh and is going on a wheel CRUELTY?!

  24. MrBigBalrog

    you should NEVER put a hamster into such a toy, it means pure stress to that poor little creature. there is nothing funny about this though…
