You don’t need to clean the cages as long as the poop and pee doesn’t leak out or smell. I am not sure if hamsters can get sick from it.

I wonder if some of those people get lazy and neglect to clean as often as your supposed to. That’s my biggest motivator for not having such a complex set-up anyways.
Tubes arent that hard cleaning yes its a struggle to get them disconnected but it only takes about 5 mins. all i do is turn the bathtub on hot and set the tubes in there, while thats running i would be cleaning its cage. After i grab my fan and just blow on the tubes for about another 5min. Which takes about that long to clean stuff up(like the towels and vacuum the area.)after that i connect them all back together, which i like doing for some reason. Nice vid
Tubes are only cool if someone else has to clean them.
@1998zappypass~ the tubes get dirty too. Hamsters poop and pee wherever they are at when they need to go.
