Dwarf hamster has started peeing only in her wheel. How can I train her not to?
My dwarf hamster has always used a certain area or two in her cage for peeing, etc. She has always been clean like that and kept herself trained. The last couple of months though she has decided to use the wheel as her bathroom. She specifically runs to the wheel, jumps in, pees, and jumps out and goes about her business! Has anyone had success with those hamster potties? Or have a suggestion for what to do?

try moving the wheel and clean it every day
This happened to me! My hamster always peed in the corner, but for some reason decided to only pee in the wheel. I took the wheel away, but when i put it back she went right back to peeing in the wheel.
Scooping up any pee-soaked sawdust and putting in a corner should help, this works with most animals, it means they know where pee should be. Also try moving the wheel regularly. If you clean the wheel everyday with pet-safe disinfectant so it doesn’t smell like pee, she should hopefully get the idea.
thats wat they do when babys but if it aint a baby then you take it to the vet because they know to pee in there right pllace win they are bigg
take it out .it was trying to lube it up.was it sqeeking?
my lil roboski did that and know why : She or He probaly just had an accident in the wheel and because she or he could smell hs / her wee S/HE continued weeing and pooing their because his or her smell of poo and wee is still their .So just clean t up their should be no props .iF she he continues to pee etc on wheel DoNot spin the wheel while the hammie is in it . it will just scare the hamster and make probs worse. if this does not work place lavender smelling sawdust in the cage , scatter it everywhere it will make him/her intrested in the spot . if that dont work put potty in with lavender smelling sawdust in it . make sure she is amused or she might not excercise and might just use it as a loo . TRUST ME HAVE EXPERIENCE AND ALL MY DWARFS DID IT >USE PET SAFE DISNFECTANT TO CLEAN IT ONLY PET SAFE ONES !
