i had the same problem with da wheel with my dwarf hammie ( if it is a dwarf! ) so i put half a cardboard tube in beside it filled it with hamster food and sawdust to make it heavy so it won’t fall over and vuala!
no. they wouldnt make a hamster cage out of something that could kill them. annnd, this hamster is insanely bored. a bigger cage would be good, with more things to do.x
i have 2 hamster at first too but the female died after giving birth to 5 baby hamsters…guess she was too tired. now i have 2 male, one father and another one is th son and on female, which is the daughter..the father’s name is cookie
Hamsters chew on bars because they are bored, the wheel is too high up, and the cage is waaaay too small, try getting an exercise ball and have it run in it about 3 hours a day and it should help a bit ~
thanks for the wheel advice. :) one of my hamsters bites the bars until she couldn’t chew her sunflower seeds. when i try to stop her she squeaks. couln’t bite her sunflower seeds later
Looks like what my hamster Phoebe does. My hamster actually figured out how to open the cage door by standing on the bars and chewing near the top where the latch is, now I have to padlock it. LOL
if you give them something to chew on they won’t chew on the bars.. Mine did before because she didn’t have a wheel to run in.. now she has and dosen’t chew at all
ohuuuuuuuuu its sooooow cute :D

my hamster died 2 days ago.wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .RIP COOKIE……<3
ohh ye check out prison break hamster style my hamster breaks free and picks up his cage
Chewing the cage bars helps keeping a hamster’s teeth to a reasonable length. It’s not a bad thing. Also, it’s an awesome sound to fall asleep to.
