Hamster City

Feeding time with my a few days before they all get separated from each other. As you can see we’ve already prepared accommodations for them all (and some we’ve found good homes for). Most of the hamsters in this film (except for the mother and my other adult hamsters in separate containers) are under 18 days old and cannot yet be separated from their mother. The hamsters are Campbell’s hamsters (except for the solid grey one who appears in the final scene who is an unknown hybrid). The father is an adult male named Caelly and is the hamster who sniffs the camera in close up. He lives in a separate cage complex from the rest. She has had many health problems and we suspect she may have been inbred as well (not by us obviously). She also lives in her own separate cage, but was put together with Caely shortly for the purpose of filming this video. Two adult females, Nelthy and Vaely have taken charge of raising the babies. They are the two larger hamsters shown in the baby-raising sections. The babies remained unnamed at the time of this video. ***As of 2008, 4 of the original babies in this film remain under our care. Their names are Emeriss, Taerar, Lethon, and Ysondre. They are all female (the males were all adopted first :P). Emeriss lives alone (she seems to like it that way) and the remaining three all happily live together. The
