I have been wanting a hamster. My mom and dad told me I have to pay for it myself. I was wondering how much everything a hamster needs cost? Including cage, hamster, food, treats ect. I need at least an estimate!

well a cage is usally like $30. the hamster can be anywhere from about 7 to 20 dollers. food can be about $6 while you can get treats for $4 also go here and find all the answers to the prices that you need http://www.petsmart.com and go to the small pet. sorry if this didt help
I would say it is about 30-40 dollars for everything without buying the food about every 2 months. There will be ranges of costs from the hamster itself to the cage depending on the store but it should average out to about that. And remember that you dont need the most expensive things for it to live a healthy life. I had the cheapest cage in the store and my hamster lived for 5 years and it was supposed to live for 3. Just clean its cage about every 5 days and make sure it always has food and water.
Hamster Cages, can range anywhere from 15 dollars to 45 dollars. Dishes and water feeders can range from 2 dollars to 5 dollars. Bedding is around 10 dollars.
An average
hamster costs, under ten dollars,
a medium sized cage costs $20-$30
food costs $10
there aren’t many treats for hamsters but the few that there is costs around $5-$10
food bowls costs $3-5 dollars
water feeders costs $5 dollars
litter costs $5 dollars
covering for the cage costs $8 dollars
These are all estimated considering that costs change from brand to brand, so in total, it doesnt cost that much to own a hamster, although it is all worth it in the end, Hamsters are the best pet that you could ever get, and when I asked my parents when I was younger the same thing, they answered the same thing, after a while, everyone around the hanster will enjoy it and admire it! Good luck, hope this helps
Probably around 80 to 100 dollars depending on quantity, size, and quality. High-quality items can cost more, but sometimes its worth it.
