I just got my hamster yesterday. But this isnt my first hamster. This is my second. My second one since I was eight. Can anyone help me find different food?

You cant give her something else for her normal day to day meals. This ius the main thing in a hamsters healthy diet. Please dont take it away from her/him. But aslo maintain a healthy basic hamster food with some treats on a daily basis. ! and your hamster should be healthy and happy. and love you :) <3

Stick to the hamster food as the main source, but you can give ‘little’ bits of apple, carrot, lettuce. About the size of the tip of your pinkie finger. Don’t over feed these treats because it could cause diarrhea or stomach problems. Once every other day. Check back at end of day, if the food isn’t eaten the remove it before it starts to change color or rots. That could make your little hammie sick.

anyway, that’s what I feed mine and he’s 4 years old.

oh, I also fed it tiny bits of broccoli, pear, banana.

You can get little hamster treats, like yogurt chips and petsmart. Just break them up a bit if they are too big.
Carrots, and lettuce are yummy for hamsters too.
Just make sure to make them the right size.

You must give them the normal hamster food to balance out their diet and so they get proper nutrition, but treats you can give them are:

    Strawberries
    Bananas
    Apples
    Carrots
    Peas
    Green beans
    Cheerios
    Sunflower seeds
Milk-Bone dog buiscuts (to help keep their teeth down & to prevent them from chewing on the cage)

i say you should stick with the hamster food but sometimes you can give him/her some bits of apples, banana, and celery, but if him/her already had a lot of food don’t give it any more food but when your hamster is able to eat a little bit more you can give it a treat

you can feed the following foods as treats or snacks:

-carrots, apples, sugar free yogut, peanuts, rolled oats (or dried oatmeal), lettuce, cauliflour, celery, strawberries, grapes, plums, brocolli, bananas, spinach leaves, parsley, and cabbage

burt only feed treats 1-2 times a week.

  7. Squeak

You should continue to feed it the normal diet. Though 2 times a week you can give it fresh fruits, but do not feed it much because too much will damage your hamster’s digestive system. You can also feed your hamster uncooked oatmeal and snack sticks.
