When I was little I had a hamster and my dad and I build it a maze out of wood. It had little hinges for the doors and a removable screen lid so it would be easy to clean.

If you don’t have stairs or dogs they LOVE the hamster ball. It allows them the freedom to go all over the house without getting lost or hurt. Just make sure they can’t roll down anything like stairs, as stated above. Make sure everyone in the house knows when they’re out so no one trips or accidentally kicks the ball.

You could get your hamster some of the following:

A Hamster Ball to explore in.

A Play Den for your hamster.

An Edible Tunnel for your hamster.

    A Hamster Friend.

And few sets of Hamster Tubes to attach to the cage.

first of all, dont listen to micheal if your getting a syrian hamster (the bigger ones) but do if your getting a dwarf. syrian hamsters MUST live alone or they will kill each other.

telly said her dad made a maze for her hamster when she was young. if your no good withwoodworking i made my hamster a maze out of lego!

a hamster ball is good. my hamster whose name is Cheese thinks he’s free when he runs in his ball, and its nice to see nim run around happily.

extra piping or extensions to the cage. the more space they have, the happier they’ll be. my hamster lives in a mantion with three cages and loads of piping all over the place. he is in paradise!

wooden things are essential. Cheese (my hamster) had teeth so long he couldnt chew properly when i first got him. i gave him some wooden blocks from the shops and his teeth were better within days.

depending on what cage you have, cardboard mazes are really fun for hamsters.

if you dont have a hut or something for him so sleep in get one right away, hamsters need dark spaces so that they can curl up and sleep protected from the sun and light.

i made a cardboard castle/boat thing that fit nicely in my hamsters cage. i hide his food in their so he has to find it. if you make things like that to hide his food in, it simulates searching for food in the wild. and its an adventure!

how about a hamster brush? some hamsters like to be groomed alot!

hamster popcorn is a real treat for hamsters, and if you give them one when they are good, they will soon learn!

a cardboard or lego castle? i made my hamster one out of bellville lego!

and of course empty toilet roles! HAMSTERS APSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!

    one last thing.
when you get shavings, try getting the bigger ones. then your hamster can move them by picking them up in his mouth instead of you having to guess where to put them!

    hope i was helpfull!

(dont get all of the things at once!)
